Busan Blockchain Regulation Free Special Zone
The Busan metropolitan city has designated ‘Busan Blockchain Regulation Free Special Zone’ for leading the business market by supporting blockchain-applied industry-related regulation exceptions and demonstrations. It supports four business sectors within the area, including the smart logistics platform, tourism platform, public safety services, and local economy and financial services. For accelerating the business, 11 cases of regulation related to the blockchain business are conditionally acceptable as Regulatory Sandbox. The Blockchain Regulation Free Special Zone is 17 areas in Busan with an area of 124.83km2. For the project, a total of 10 organizations, including Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), Busan Techno Park, Hyundai Pay, Busan Bank, will carry out the project. The period of validity of this special area is from August 9, 2019 to December 31, 2024.
